Questions, answered

How does each track get the right artist?
If every line of the pasted tracklist reads "Artist - Title", each track is tagged with that artist and title. The DJ or show name you enter as the album artist is kept, so the tracks stay grouped as one album in your player.
Where do I cut in a mix with blended transitions?
Wherever the tracklist says the next track starts, usually the point where it takes over. You can play from each start time and retype it before splitting. Silence detection is not much help on a continuous mix, so pasting or tapping along works best.
Can I mark the tracks while I listen instead?
Yes. Play the mix and tap "Add track" each time a new track comes in, then type the titles. This works when there is no tracklist, or when you are identifying tracks as you go.
Will the tracks lose quality?
No, not with "Keep original": an MP3 mix is cut without re-encoding, and lossless sources stay lossless. If you want short fades on each track to soften hard cuts, pick MP3, AAC or Opus at up to 320 kbps, or FLAC or WAV, and set fades of up to 5 seconds.
Is the DJ mix splitter free? How long can the mix be?
It is free, with no account and no limit on the number of tracks. The limit is the file size, 450 MB, which is several hours of 320 kbps MP3. Mixes over 60 MB play and can be marked straight away; the waveform is drawn once you choose to upload the file for it.
